Business Consultants, TCS strengthens team (June 1st, 2009.)

Following a busy eighteen months providing consulting services to the SME sector, Translogic Consultancy Services (TCS), is to strengthen its team with the addition of Sean McCool to its panel of Senior Consultants with immediate effect.

Translogic Consultancy Services (TCS) is a division of Translogic Limited, the specialist training arm of the International Airline Marketing Group. TCS provides corporate clients with a broad range of services spanning strategic direction, business planning, systems, HR, financial management and sales and marketing. TCS handles re-engineering of existing companies, feasibility studies and implementation of new operations both for Irish-based and overseas clients.

Sean McCool has a reputation for vast business experience at a senior level, both as an entrepreneur and as an operations expert. Starting his career in the highly competitive international freight business, Sean held numerous senior positions including key roles in Seaboard and Western Airlines, Brinks (who he introduced to Ireland) and Aer Lingus commercial cargo where he was responsible for the establishment of the highly successful operation in Europe in the 1960s. Awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Institute of Freight Forwarders of Ireland for service to industry, Sean established International Airline Marketing Limited (IAM) in 1989 as the official Irish office of a number of the world’s largest airlines, including American Airlines, Air Canada and All Nippon Airways. IAM quickly became Ireland’s largest GSSA cargo sales office (a position it retains to this day) now controlling in excess of 20% of Ireland’s air cargo business. IAM is also the lead company in a group that offers road transportation, cargo handling and specialist training. Sean retired from IAM in 2007 handing the reigns to his son. Says Sean “In these challenging times, it is especially difficult for companies in the SME sector to obtain essential heavyweight management skills and consultancy support at rates that are acceptable. TCS is specifically geared up to help the many small/medium sized companies who are most in need of management expertise but have limited financial resources”.

TCS has proven itself able to accommodate the varied and often complex requirements of clients through its access to a broad panel of highly-skilled consultants with expertise in banking, management accountancy and audit, sales and marketing, corporate law, management, HR and training.

Successful projects to date have included total reviews of financial and compliance matters, the development and implementation of marketing plans, establishment of management and staff reporting systems, and streamlining of booking procedures and administration processes. Clients to date have included transport companies, manufacturers, holiday and leisure operators, food importers, machinery installers and retailers both in Ireland and overseas.
